HDTV and HDMI

If I connect a true 100Hz HDTV to a card using the HDMI out, will this run at a true 100Hz?

I've read that DVI cables cant send enough data for true 100 Hz but using HDMI out would avoid this problem jah?

Come to think of it... If a monitor has a HDMI input, does that mean that it can produce 100Hz?

would the cable even affect the refresh rate of the t.v though ?

saying that... i did read somewhere else that dual dvi was needed for 120hz or something along those lines.

you should be fine with hdmi

Yeah I read that Samsung were making a 120Hz monitor that used 2 DVI cables because 1 cant transmit at 100Hz. But I'm thinking that HDMI must be capable of doing 100Hz since its the standard HD connection.

HDTV's with PC input don't do the 100Hz thing. Mostly because they're VGA inputs.

Did you even read the first post? lol

I think I need to get someone with an HDTV to hook it up to their PC and see if it will run at 100 Hz lol.

no it wont. they dont work with 100hz inputs.
