HDTV for pc Advice please

hi guys im thinking of getting a hdtv for my pc this might sound a stupid question but ill ask anyway would a hdtv plug into my 8800 gtx give me hdtv quality through my pc or will it just give me high resoultions therefore should i just buy a big lcd instead sorry for a dumb question

not quite sure wht ** asking, but u *** get better image on a big pc lcd, rather than a TV.
