Hi guys, my new tv turned up today, samsung LE26R73BD but im having a bit of a problem getting the 360 to work with the vga cable, whenever i plug it in and switch the tv to vga it says that the mode is not supported?

any ideas?

Sounds to me like the 360 could be set to an unsupported resolution for the TV, which would be a bit strange if it has never been used with VGA before.

If that is the case, then one solution would be to try and change the resolution blind.

I'm unsure of the correct sequence of button presses to get to the resolution select screen, maybe someone here could post it?

You could also give the auto-adjustment option a go in the Samsung TV menu, might be worth a shot. Its under the PC options I think.

Has your 360 been connected to anything else through VGA? if so you may have set the resolution to one thats not supported by the TV

If you can, connect you 360 back to whatever it was connected through (assuming it was connected through VGA to something else) and set it to the lowest res, once its set connect it your you tv and you should be able to set the res from there

forgot i plugged it inot my monitor a while back, working fine now thanks :)
