Heya guys, any advice on this predicament will be awesome, I've been Googling for hours and can't come to a decision...

I recently bought a Samsung 32" Series 6 HDTV, and have it setup alongside my PC. I'm looking to connect the two as a dual-monitor thing, so I can play games and watch movies on the HDTV via my 8800 GTS graphics card.

The graphics card has 2 digital DVI outputs, but I want to connect it to my TV via HDMI, so my dilema is this: do I get a DVI to HDMI cable and connect directly, or will I get better quality out of a HDMI adapter to go on the graphics card, and connect that to the tv by a high quality HDMI cable. I'm not sure what difference it will make and which will provide a better result.

As a side note, I'm also trying to work out if buying a seperate set of speakers to connect via the headphone jack to the TV is a good idea or not...The internal speakers are alright, but it'd be nice to have some base with a simple 2.1 set or something...
