Right I have my PC hooked up to a Viewsonic 22" lcd and my Tosh HDTV as a second display. I'd been noticing some juddering during panning shots on the Tosh so checked the refresh rate via display manager and saw that it was set to 50 hz. I changed it to 60 hz and the juddering was pretty much gone.

Now the problem I'm having is that when I turn the display off and back on Vista is automatically setting it 50 hz and not 60 hz. I tried changing the monitor driver from generic pnp to lcd flat panel 1280 x 720 @ 60 hz but it's still defaulting to 50 hz.

My Viewsonic is always at 60 hz and Vista doesn't seem to have any problems remembering this.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Just a little bump since I had this moved from the home cinema forum. Thanks whichever Don did that by the way :)

Why 1280x720? Surely monitor should be 1680x1050 and your TV at least 1360x768.

Could maybe try unpluging your monitor to see if your TV works ok as primary display.

Reinstall CCC drivers.
