He Took a Polaroid Every Day, Until the Day He Died

Wow, awesome.

EDIT: Oh, I just read this:

Somehow Mental Floss (Where Knowledge Junkies Get Their Fix) uncovered Photo-of-the Day by Jamie Livingston, the not-yet-public website Hepcat and his friend created for Jamie Livingston's 6000+ Polaroids. Because it's a work-in-progress site (a Beta site), there are no names on it, no credits. No contact information. Nothing.

I thought the photographer had done it, and not put any words on for some random to discover one day, but his friends did it after he died. Still cool but I liked the idea that he made the site and told no one about it.

I rekon that would be a monumental task to complete. You would need to make sure you have access to the camera every day, remember to take a picture every day and have the determination to carry it through indefintely which would be very difficult.

Not so hard in the era of camera phones though perhaps?

I always thought about doing this for a year. So easy now with camera phone. Never get around to it though.

WOW - What an awesome thing to do, and very touching when you read through it, its a great snap-shot into his life.

Also have a look at - http://www.everyday.noahkalina.com/index.php

It is a bloke who started taking a picture of himself every day, just his face, to see how much he changes over the years, he started in 2000 so has been on-going for 8 years, he changes quite a lot.

You can click into the drop-down-box and select different dates (years) or select to see the whole 8 years on the same page (takes a while to load).

There was a funny take on that by The Olde English Comedy

And great find, it's quite interesting to see his project and how it comes into light today - a legacy he's left and made possible by his wife / relatives / friends via the internet.
