Head unit install on Clio

Hey guys,

I've recently just got a new car, a Renault Clio.

I'm trying to fit my car audio head unit, but I can't get the surrounding cage to lock into place where the old head unit was.

The clio doesn't have a metal type cage for the CD player to slot into, it's just an empty plastic area.

Anyone with a Clio had this problem? I'm trying to avoid going to Halfords to save money! I've got the unit working great, it just wont fasten into place on the dash, it's just sitting in there loose.


After 50 minutes of googling I gave up.

You need the metal cage that comes with the stereo and to install that into the dash first.

This. Put cage in hole, bend tabs back to hold it in place then chuck the new one in

Yup, done this enough times now on Clios to know that's exactly it
