Just used 3d vision on ym system for the first time and after half hour i had a banging headache and felt queezy.

Will I get used to ths? Will it get better the more i use it?

Does not sound good, Someone else complained about being unwell when using this a while ago.

Don't use it and see a Doctor and have a eye test.

"There are a lot of people walking around with very minor eye problems, for example a minor muscle imbalance, which under normal circumstances, the brain deals with naturally," said Dr Michael Rosenberg, an ophthalmology professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.

He said in a 3D movie, these people are confronted with an entirely new sensory experience.

"That translates into greater mental effort, making it easier to get a headache," Rosenberg said in a telephone interview.

Thats kinda a big thing to do. As it is so amazing and hard to just not use it. I will give it a week using the lowest 3d setting if im still getting a headache I may see a doctor or think about returning it.

Do you think this could permanently affect my eye sight/health?

It was okay in crysis/dragon age but when i was on dirt 2 it was so amazing I felt like I was actually in the car it was so great, even though nvidia rate dirt 2 as not reccommended for 3d.

this is why i haven't got it, not worth the risk to damage anything, it's a lot more processing required and could even induce fits if you are serceptable (however it's spelt) to them!

lol m8 do not ask about health advice on a computer forum. you will be dead in no time. make an appointment with your local GP explain how you felt and wot you wer doing wen it happened. then get your eyes tested to be safe aswell.

you will be fine :)

its probably a case of adjusting to it but its worth seeing the doctor to be sure. Watching normal TV screens has a similar effect if you don't use them regularly.

You probably won't adjust to it. Most people who've used my kit either adapted to it pretty quickly or just plain can't use it. I don't have a problem using it myself but even so I still start to feel slightly queasy and my eyes feel fatigued after prolonged gaming sessions with it.

I'm not asking about health on a computer forum. Im asking if these kits normally cause headaches. If i went on a health forum they wouldnt be able to answer my question because they dont have a clue about technology.

All i was asking is if it can damage eye sight, not if it can cause heart attacks.

These kits dont cause headaches, Human Wiring does, 3 in 10(random but accurate statistic dont ask me for the source newspapers are fickle) people cant do 3-d without it giving them a whopper headache, you might be one of them. The stat might be wrong but the sentiment isnt , some people just cant do it, no amount of conditioning helps.

For me 15 minutes and i condition just fine, it hurts for a few mins and then i adjust , but it mightnt be that easy.

It wont damage eyesight , contrary to old people nothing damages eye sight but a lovely acid burn.... At worst its just not worth it because the headaches are a btch

Thank you. This is the kinda thing that I wanted to hear. I can deal with the headaches because the 3d is just so good! I reckon i'll get used to it in no time though.
As long as theres no more of a risk than just normally playing games looking at a monitor, i'm a happy man.

Luckily I seem to be ok with 3d :) - good job, because it's awesome. Though the disadvantage is my contact lenses tend to try out quicker, I'm so drawn in I forget to blink!

Monitors do horrendous damage to eyesight... eyes natural rest is ~20feet, forcing your eyes to focus on a monitor 2-3 feet away for long periods is not good for them at all.
