I've had a problem with my Mazda 3 leaking washer fluid. If I brim the tank, it was leaking about a litre of fluid which was dripping slowly from the under tray.
Once it had leaked for a bit, it seems to stop. The washers are all working correctly, so I was thinking it was a crack in the bottle.
I've stripped it all down today, taking the bumper off and arch liners out etc and I've found the water is coming out of the headlamp washer jets. They are the pop up type so are hidden inside the bumper. The offside leaks more but it's nearer to the tank, there is a steady trickle from both jets until the level drops.
It seems like a check valve has failed somewhere, but I'm not sure where. I can't see a check valve in the parts list, some websites for other marques suggest the nozzle has a check valve in. The nozzles are £22 each from the dealer so I'd want to be certain this will fix the problem.
Any ideas?
