Hey guys i was looking at getting a sheild tablet for a bit of gaming when i was away as they're cheap light and a tsblet is fairly handy.
Had a look at the gamestream system of streaming pc games.
My home internet sucks atm as im on basic broadband waiting for them to upgrade the cabinet 7 down 1.7 up.
But my parents have 50 down and 10 up on bt infinity.
Since the streaming is only 1080p i was thinking i could take one of my 980gtx csrds and a cheap cpu ans buildd a headless box plugged ibto the router at my folks home to stream gsnes to the tablet and maybe with a vpn stream steam games to a laptop etc in future.
Googling i know you need to plug in hdmi display spoofer to fool it ibto thinking it has a monitor installed.
But not knowing anything about networking really how hard would it be to set up the headless pc and to manage/control it without physical acess. Ie put it into sleep/wake when needed.
Guessing it would be better to stick in a router that supports vpns betwren it and the bt smart hub as that doesnt support vpn software jist so i can fool it ibto thinking its on the same network
