Headlight bulb?

Hi guys.

In summary:

Honda accord gen 7 (2003).

Headlight bulb failed.

H1 bulb type.

Wasn't happy with headlight brightness anyway (not a patch on the xenons on my previous car).

Recommendations?

LED possible?

I was considering it but I was told that they have a heatsink which fits outside of the headlamp (in the engine bay) and that there might not be room for fitting them.

I only just swapped a 501 sidelight bulb for a halfords one and it's badly dim already. I'd prefer to go LED but without a specific recommendation I'm not willing to risk it in case it's rubbish.

All the h1's for sale appear to be 55W. Aren't there brighter ones?

In that case I just want a nice white bright h1 halogen bulb. Eurocar parts have got a Philips white vision bulb for £20 for the pair with free 501 sidelight bulbs. 30% off this weekend. Sound OK?

Alternatively osram nightbreaker.

Well according to eurocar parts the Phillips white vision xenon effect twin pack I've just reserved for £13.99 had an rrp of over £60. Nice deal if they are good as they sound.
