I haven't driven my A6 in the dark for quite some time but I did tonight and I'm pretty sure the alignment is off on the nearside light, does the below look right to you?

The beam pattern should look like this

Code:
_____ _______
     \_____ \_______
And they should line up.

Measure the height to the centre of your xenon projectors, reverse the car 25 feet from that wall, then mark on the wall about 2 inches lower than the previously-measured height, and adjust the lights until the section about half way between the upper and lower beam cut off matches the marked height.

What Howard said ^^

I know on the BMW's there is a little knob on the back of the headlight which you have to turn and which adjusts the height of the headlight. I've actually got to do it to mine after taking out one of the headlights and the beam pattern being like yours!

There should be a plastic screw or hex head somewhere on the top of the light cluster, in fact there's probably two - one for side to side and one for height.

Does the self-levelling work for both of them do you know? Do they self-test when you power them on?
