Headlights with blue tint

Xenon/HID headlights have a blue tint compared with traditional halogen headlights. You can probably get aftermarket halogens even bluer than factory fit HIDs. What you're probably seeing though is chavs replacing the sidelight bulbs with blue LEDs. Looks crap. That blue film looks awful too. IMHO, of course.

Blue lights are for the Max Power brigade.

Most of them are just bulbs.

Unless you are 17 and drive a Saxo with a body kit, avoid.

Hey,

How is this done, usually seen on modified car, is it a film like this

Or is it the bulb?

Only ever notice at night so its hard to tell whats causing it

Here you can see pictures of our Blue tinted headlight protection film. Buy it here

I think that's probably how!

Note there's a different between blue light and blue headlights. the former is obviously down to the bulb and the later is a film, note that according to that website the light from the blue-filmed headlights is still pretty much the same as it is without. Ie, it's not blue unless you have blue bulbs.

As far as projected light appearance goes even 4300K Standard fit HIDs will have a tint when looked at from a certain angle.

Not sure why you would want to tint the glass/plastic lenses blue though, surely just a film?

Ive seen more and more cars that have the fog lights replaced with blue lights. Not blue tint, blue LED type. Its looks awful, and I hope they get pulled!

Certianly every xenon headlight I've seen seems to be blue, my eyesight is terrible mind.

Mine are white! Most I see are white but the ones that are quite clearly blue are usually always aftermarket ones someone has fitted!

Worth noting though that factory HIDs on newer cars look blue from certain angles, I notice this on Porsches mainly and Range Rovers.
