I bought one of those C-Moy amps from eBay last year, why did you enter it in a competition? Mine looks identical.

It just looks the same as the dozens of others people have built.

because that is a website where people post step-by-step guides on how to build these, i am trying to win the competition for my guide, not for the product as tangents article was copyrighted i had to make my own and distribute it under creative commons

this is meant for high quality headphones, with a larger impedance than the rubbish ipod in ears, for instance my equation audio rp-21's paired with an ipod shuffle make sound thats hardly audiable in a busy place, but with a headphone amp you can deafen your self indeffinately from a tiny shuffle, and lets be honest who doesnt want that!

Hmmmm, I remember reading something like this a few years ago, I assume its the same one. Very good walkthrough, but never got round to making it.

on instructables? only one and it was a cheap one using a small Cassette player amp, this is a chu moy.

Ditto on both points - would be better if you went down the pcb route.

I'll get a photo of one I made about 15 years ago if you want a laugh.
I used to use it on stage and it came straight from the mixer up the back of my leg to use as monitors.
