Hi,

I have a nuForce uDAC2 with some re-loop rhp-10s plugged in.
Ive had the udac a few weeks and the headphones maybe 2 months.

Ive got a load of flacs's on my pc via vlc.

It sounded great always kept the volume in windows at 100% as reccommended, and normally have the uDAc at about the 11 o'clock position, this was plenty loud enough and sounded good.

The last couple of days though the sound is just not as good it sounds pretty distorted, ive listened to tracks from all genres tht souded great before!!

Using the uDac as a preamp sounds good still so i can only assume its the headphones.
They have barely been used and the straight cable im using now even less so.

What could my issue be?? (im getting some ATH-M50s for xmas but thats not the point, these sounded good until a few days ago.

Hope you can help,
Sean

just wondering if the correct settings are on the device properties ie 96k studio quality or whatever it should be .
also do you use wasapi to bypass windows audio ,im sure my foobar does this
btw im not an expert so you may get some better replies ,its just that i was looking into getting an odac so your question interests me

Ive found my problem, vlc was set to 120% volume! Its now back at 100% and sounds good again. I didnt notice it through poweramp as i was using xbmc at time.
