Headphone recommendations for iPod

I want to upgrade from the standard iPod headphones. This time I’m going to ask for some recommendations first, as I just spent £20 on some that actually sound worse than the standard ones! :(

Budget is £35. The must be inner earphones (no Caraaaaig David styles), and preferable white to go with the iPod.

Any ideas?

I just took delivery of some Sony MDR-EX71SLW after lots of recommendations elswhere.

I’ve come to the conclusion that I must be anatomically incompatible with inner-earphones. These sound great as long as I constantly push them into my ears. But as soon as I let go they sound even worse than the standard iPod ones! I’ve tried all the different size rubber bits too.

Oh well, that’s another £25 down the toilet.

I think I’ll look into the Sennheiser models.

Dispite what I said earlier, I've stopped using my MX500's. After a while I noticed the sound wasn't that good at all, and they're quite big and would fall out of my ears when cycling.

I've gone back to my Sony MDR-ED21LP's, which is what I wanted to upgrade from in the beginning! It's a shame they don't come in white, as I like everyone to know I have an expensive iPod. :D

It seems my quest for the perfect headphones has been thwarted again.

As per my previous post, I went back to my old faithful Sony MDR-ED21LP’s after buying several different and more expensive headphones that I didn’t like. I thought I’d leave it at that and stick with the Sony’s, but I happened across a pair of Sony MDR-ED31SP’s. From the pic they looked very similar to the ones I know and love, so I ordered a pair. They turned up this morning, and to my horror when I opened the package they have that stupid ****ing cable arrangement where the left earphone has a 4 inch cable and the right is about 14 inches!

WTF is that all about? It looks ****ing stupid! Suffice to say that I haven’t worn them, as I have no desire to look like a *******.

Sony are going to a very angry email from me for not mentioning in the specs that these were designed by Joey Deacon.

My house is starting to look like the place where headphones come to die.
