Headphone Recommendations

Hi - looking for some headphones. Had the Bose QC15 but had to get rid of them as I kept getting bad headaches. I do prefer bass and I thought the Sony Extra Bass looks too big. I prefer a simple/sleek design that doesn't stand out hugely. Any recommendations?

I recently picked up a pair of Sony MDR-1A. If not the most portable, they're some of the best sounding and the comfiest portables I've had by far. They sound good straight out of my phone, too.

Another vote for the Sony MDR-1A, they share head time with my Sennheiser HD650s, my others (AKG K702, Beyerdynamic DT990 & Sony MDR-100AAP) don't get a look in.

The bass goes nice and low, mids are smooth and highs are detailed without ever sounding sibilant - they are also ridiculously comfortable and look good too

first time I have ever heard the MDR-1A described as lacking bass
