Hello All, For about 18 Months I have been using "Speed Link SL-8790 Medusa 5.1 Surround Headset" These are great headphones, the sound is brilliant and the surround works a treat, saved my life many a time in online games, and sounds great with movies.

However sadly, and im not quite sure how the bit you extend to fit your head on the right ear has snaped, and the only thing holding it inplace is sticky tape, Anoying as it does not fit the same, the tape keeps bending and I have to keep repairing it.

So my question be this, as these headphones are no longer in production, Are there any that are of at least and equal quality, that provide the same quality suround sound, good base, great for movies, games and music etc, and what are they?

Thanks all, Jcb33!

my word, to hear such a bad quality pair of headphones spoken about so highly.

Trust me when i tell you that the medusa's sound quality doesn't even qualify as decent. A decent pair of stereo headphones utilising openal on an x-fi soundcard and cmss-3d, give a much better sense of positioning in games.

Always found these to be great, the sound is crisp and clear, the base is brilliant and the suround is great. Much better than any synthasized surround. Plus I dont have nor wish to invest in an X-Fi, Does anyone else happen to have experience with the Zalmans?
