i recently got the Philips Fidelio X2(only came a few days back, not opened yet), have seen pictures of stands posted on here(in the what headphones do you have mega thread). Any recommendations and where to get them from? Good but not overly expensive.

The headphones are mainly for gaming but will also be used for the movies etc, I currently have the Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium(standard not HD) will that be enough to "drive" the X2s?

While they will be mainly used on the PC I will from time to time use them with the IPad Air, will they work fine unamped?

Have had a bit of a look around at various amps, amp/dacs and what have you, the fiio e10k seems to be mentioned on here while looking on what hifi etc they seem to recommend dragonfly 1.2. For smartphone/tablet use they recommend the oppo ha-2 but that's £200-£300, there's the Soundblaster E5(also cheaper E1&E2) for £120 currently from creative or little under £160 from the rainforest.

I was wondering about an amp as well. I'm running my X2's off a Mixamp and they're fine for games but there's not much depth to music compared to the Sound Blaster G5.

I'm thinking of sending the G5 back though and picking up a Schiit Fulla. Either than or another Fiio E10k, which would be annoying given I only sold one a few weeks ago!

The Schiit Fulla does sound good but there are reports of dead spots on it's volume control, while the FiiO E10K uses a tried and trusted Alps Pot.
