Hi all. I listen to music a few times a week on my computer wearing a pair of AKG K702 headphones. I have them connected to Ifi Zen DAC & Ifi Zen Can. I have been told off that the AKG headphones are too loud and they annoy everyone nearby who can hear my music..

I am wanting a high quality pair of headphones that will be an upgrade to the quality I am used to, and not leak any sound to annoy the girlfriend etc. The only headphones that I can think of are Sennheiser HD660s that have been recommended a lot before, is there anything else to consider?

My budget is up to £500.

Thanks!

(Hope this is the right forum section, if not can a mod please move )

You're going to have to go closed back if sound leakage is the main issue which will narrow your choices a lot and come with issues (can get hot, narrower soundstage). The HD660s are open back so won't suit.

Meze 99's?

After borrowing a pair (99 Classic) for a couple of days over christmas, I want some of my own now.

Leaning towards the 99 Neo though as I prefer the black to the wood. No idea how much it affects the soud quality though.
