Hi guys,

I've got my headphones (2 cables - 1 green, 1 pink) plugged into the back of the mobo. However, sometimes I also want to use my speakers (1 green cable). Is there anything I can use to stop me from having to remove the headphone cables and plugging in the speaker cables all the time?

I think there was way to have header for front output connector of case to be considered as separate output by Realtek.
Also using splitter/Y-cable would be possible: Just use Windows voluem setting to adjsut it fir for headphones.

In sound cards separate connector for headphones and front/L-R channel line out is normal feature in higher than budget sound cards, like Sound Blaster Z.

And quite many speakers have jack for connecting headphones. Do those speakers lack it or do you use headset's microphone?
I guess they're some gaming headset with fashionable low impedance.

A AVR works the best. They have front panel headphone amplifier, when you connect headphones the speakers are switched off. Digital connection from computer to AVR means bypassing the onboard sound/noisy PC.
