I've recently killed my last pair of headphones, as I'm perhaps not as careful as I should be with them. They were a pair of Phillips that just looped around the back of your head, rather than being worn over the top, as I just prefer them. So yesterday I went into town looking for a replacement, and found a pair of Stenheiser PMX 50's.

A nice idea, but I can't get them to stay on my ears at all. If I'm perfectly still, they're fine, but while walking, you can just feel them sliding off. No good. So I'm going to see if I can return them (Not fit for purpose?) but I'm going to want something so I can listen to my iPod. They don't need to be amazingly expensive, just durable. Especially around the jack part, as thats where my last pair died, I can still get sound out of one ear if I wiggle the part where the cable enters the jack.

sony mdr ex85 and do the clingfilm/wax mod apparently they sound like +£150 earphones when this easy mod is done.
They are £14-99 delivered.

But only after you've smoked half a kilo of high grade weed. The mod's fine but the weed's a bit of an expense;)

The mod is basically covering up some open ports on them.
just search for sony ex90 on head fi you'll find the modding thread the same can be done with the ex 85.

Lol, I have heard them and they certainly arn't even up there with my £70 Westone UM-1, let alone £150 like my Grado HF-1s :p

Stick with better headphones and less drugs ;)

Greenlizard, that link takes you to an Sr80 for sale thread :D:D:D

Try the westone UM1, most comfortable IEMs I have ever used, but also checkout UE and shure.
