due to hearing issues from the steel industry and a wife with ears like a dog who hears everything i opted for these Sennheiser’s RS 175 over your budget but well worth considering, now i can mute the actual tv but still hear it via these so wife is happy with low volume tv and i am happy with surround sound high volume

Xm3's if you want the best or if you don't want noise cancelling get the most expensive sennheisers you can afford
I've just got a pair of Sony XB900N's (basically a downgraded version of the 1000XM3's, with more bass but less effective noise cancellation).
Almost within your budget, and to my ears sound great for what they cost. Bass can be heavy if not dialled back.
