Hi all, looking for a set of headphones for the mother in law. She lives in a retirement village and getting on a bit, her neighbours clearly aren't going deaf as quickly as her as they are complaining about her TV volume :D

She doesn't have a super modern TV but it does have a 3.5m jack and an optical in. I think over ear and wireless would be best. Also with an easy set up as she lives 4 hours away from us so they may likely stay in their box until next time we go up.
Been to my local hifi shop this morning and all they had were the Sennheiser RS175-U RF. Which while look like they'll do the job are a bit on the pricey side and the quality will probably be wasted on her.

Any recommendations? Personally I think she'll be better off getting some hearing aids but telling her that might get me written out of the will

Which is cheaper, the headphones you mentioned above or getting written out of the will?

Hearing aids will solve this though but having my gran be so difficult in wearing them, the problem isn’t going to go away any time soon.

Also, headphones for anyone of a certain age can be fiddly and confusing - don’t expect to have a tech support free life after buying them for her.
