Headphones upgrade

Hi guys ,
Currently I got DT880pro's and Shure 846 IEM. I love the way 846s sound on how detailed, balanced and effortless they are. On the other hand the low end and soundstage of the dt880 pro's cant be matched by the 846s. I would like to retire the 880s as I mainly use them for gaming due to how much better the soundstage is. However they come no where near the sound quality of 846s. I'm aware there isn't a perfect solution but would budget of £500 be enough to better the 880pro close to 846 in terms of sound quality with while having similar soundstage of 880pros?

What are you using as amp for these?

Im using my Yamaha AS3000 amp's headphone jack with Yamaha cds3000 as a dac for the DT880 pro's and Fiio BTR5 when Im on the go with my 846s.

Just had a look the dt880 pros are semi open back will you want open back or closed back

Thanks, when I walked in into Richer sounds 4 years ago and saw that beast I had to buy it. Sounds as good as it looks with Dali Epicons. The beast almost broke my back when I took him home - it weights 50 pounds.

In terms of headphone being open design it don't mind as I use them in spare bedroom where I game once a week if I'm lucky.
