Hey peeps,

Apologies if this is the wrong section but I desperately need some gaming headphones...as they are specifically for gaming, I am posting here...

Bang for buck pls....

Any preferences / ideas?/

Please help

thanks

Personally I have the Sennheiser HD555's, other popular ones tend to be:

Icemat Siberia
Sennhieser PC1XX
Speedlink Medusa

That all I can think of atm, might be worth checking out the "Sound City" forum for abit more techie info about headphones.

Headphones not headset! :(

everyone says the sennheisers are good.

i own some razer barracudas, everyone slags them off, says there crap, really impressed with my current pair, cant fault them.

Yeah I have the Barracuda's too. I've owned several Sennheiser's and the Barracuda's win hands down.

Can't go wrong with the Speedlink Medusa. Sure they're a bit chunky, but you don't notice as it's comfortable as hell. Great for fps games because of the precise surround sound.

They sound **** though. And break easily. And pick up interference easily. I owned a pair for 2 years before getting so sick of them I went and bought some normal stereo headphones, ahhh, will never look back.

However, some "gaming" headsets are ok, although I'll always recommend getting some good quality stereo cans, and a decent desktop mic.

OP got a budget?

The Gadget Show on Five reviewed the Medusa's and said they were pants.

I have had some Medusa ones for ages though and I've nothing to compare them to, so for me, they're fine.

budget wise, im looking for bang for buck...

i want cheap but great sound quality...possible ? :)

£15 - 30

I have some creative hs600, not bad but the material on the ear piece can make your ears itch after long periods of wear.
