Ok i know you get a lot of headphone threads but theres just too many.

I have just taken music tech at As level and my teacher says that i will need some cuped headphones i need a pair tht won't bleed and have a great sound.
Will be using software like cubase etc.

My budget is about £20 but if i see a significant difference than i can stretch to £30.

Thanks pat

Not noob at all mate, only found out myself when i was looking around a few weeks ago :)

It basically means that the cans themselves arent sealed, like someone could blow your ear while your wearing them.. more or less :)

Obviously this means sound can get out pretty easilly too, so people nearby will hear a lot of what you hear..

You just wont get good sounding closed headphones for £30 or less, on this budget the goldrings are your best bet even though they are open.
Maybe better off going to a high st store and getting some cheapos as most closed back in this price range will have very little difference between them.

You should look at closed back such as Koss TD85 Black Full Size Stereophone < google those and it will give you a few good sites for closed back headphones.
I'm pretty sure most in this price bracket are much of a muchness though.
If you want the absolute best for £30 I suggest checking out the headfi forum.

Im just not sure about spending £30

been looking at the Sennheiser eH150 and the Sennheiser HD205 both £17
which is more in budget any of these two not tht good

i prefer the 205s atm they just look better and more stable also a lot of reviews saying they dont bleed that much.
