Its been a few weeks since i finished putting together my PC and installing everything on to it.

Now i am sure its working fine i want to see how far i can OC it but i have no idea what the real temperatures are, the ASUS AI Suite gives me a CPU reading of 24C@idle and 40C@load but core temp gives me 17C and 35C neither are bad given that I am using a H50 with two GT 1850RPM fans but obviously its not useful when trying to figure out whether its too hot or not.

Get other temp monitoring programs too, like open hardware monitor (has a nice gadget feature too) and then compare. Hopefully this will give the same temp as one of the others

It seems that the AI suite only reads the cpu temperature sensor on the mobo and coretemp only reads the temperature from the cpu itself as open hardware monitor shows values for both sensors so it looks like the lower temperatures are the real deal

and thanks for that suggestion, i prefer it to having to run the windows sidebar

I doubt the lower temperatures are correct unless you're in a very cold room.

In order to have an idle temperature of 17C the ambient temperature would likely have to less than 10C.

To be honest my house hasnt had central heating on and with central heating on its around 18C so its probable

anyway, i wont be OCing anyway, dont have the time since i got a job building PCs for sale
