Two heads are better than one. Idris Elba and John Cena are Heads of State, coming to Prime Video July 2.

The UK Prime Minister (Idris Elba) and US President (John Cena) have a public rivalry that risks their countries’ alliance. But when they become targets of a powerful enemy, they’re forced to rely on each other as they go on a wild, multinational run. Allied with Noel, a brilliant MI6 agent (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), they must find a way to thwart a conspiracy that threatens the free world.

Just watched it - it isn't bad but they should have ended it on the harpoon pun with a cheesy grin the epilogue wasn't really needed and kind of took it away from ending on a high note even though you can just ignore it.

Curious movie as for a comedy there was quite a lot of attention to detail with a bit of effort to write explanations for things so it wasn't littered with dumb plot devices, etc., for the most part correct use or at least close enough use of sound effects for things, relatively realistic use of weapons (to an extent), etc. quite easy to suspend your disbelief compared to average for this kind of movie.

I really enjoyed this. Found myself laughing at some moments, during action moments as well which is rare for me.
It knows what it is and isn't trying to hide that, which I feel is missing from a lot of films now. I see Iris and Cena Co produced it, thinking they had fun on Suicide Squad to give the comedy a go.

It does feel like comedy written by people who don't normally do comedy - I don't mean that in a negative sense - there are some different takes on traditional comedy setups and an attention to detail that is often missing from comedy movies, which personally I appreciated as it made it easier to suspend disbelief.

Watched this last night, thought it was lot of fun. Jack Quad was great in it - 8/10. Watched it back to back with Deep Cover and saw some of the same sets in it

5.5/10.

I would never watch this again. Cena just plays the same character as always. Jack Quaid pretty much does the same. Priyanka Chopra is not an action star and her accent annoys me. The CGI is really really obvious and bad at various points. Comedy villains, generic predictable storyline and twists.

BUT, there were a few good one liners, mainly Idris, and he carries the film. On a normal week, I think I would have turned off at the 30 minute mark, or sooner. When you've had a crappy few days and need a reason to smile, it manages to do the job.

I enjoyed it, it was exactly what I expected and didn't lean too heavy into "zero to hero" or play too much on "look at the inexperienced man who thinks he's an action hero" (not that it doesn't do that)

7/10 from me, worth a watch if you know what sort of film it wants to be.
