Head's Up - cheap Call of Duty 2 for Xbox 360

thats a lot for a 17 year old

Not really, just been splashing out. Spended a load on a 360 two weeks ago aswell. :p

I generally spend my money in huge chunks on things I want, and spend 4 months deciding what I want.

I generally like to do things all the way, the next on the list is a fully kitted out home cinema.

Projectors and the bulb life are the bits worrying me, but thats off topic.

Have not heard back from them yet. :(

Flippin' heck. You probably haven't even got your own home - you're 17 going on 37!! And I mean it in a nice way. ;)

All they have said here is that when you pre-order the Game of the year edition, they will give you it at the lower price have you done that yet, are you getting that price in your pending order status, or you gonna have to wait till they ship it for the price to be confirmed?

I'm going to wait a little while before pre-ordering it, the item description on Amazon is minimal, I'm going to wait until they fill out the page properly with a full description. It almost looks like it's currently there is a temp page or something.

You can't judge people on what they buy. It is the same with post counts. :p

Im 17 going on 5 for some things trust me. :p

Davey_Pitch any ideas on what my name means? (Right over my head)

My email had no effect whatsoever. I still got a load of <bleep> from a customer service rep who claimed the item had been deleted and would not be available to purchase. Although the catalogue still lists it, any orders placed would be deleted. What a load of <bleep>.

Sadly, as the third post in this thread suggested...it was an error. They don't have to honour anything.

But they should!

It's an average game anyway...would be too upset.

I just want to get 1 up on them, nothing more.

Not bothered about the game really, I will get it cheap from another retailler.

Just the principle that they have lied to me twice on the phone, both contradicting each other.

I emailed them and got the same response as Davey_Pitch but just worded differently:

"I would suggest you to please place a new order for the same. Please
contact us once your order has been placed, quoting the order
number, and we will be happy to adjust the price of the same to the
original price that was offered to you of 16.99 GBP."

This was my first order from them and I stated it in the email to them. I just politely asked why my order was cancelled due to it no longer being released and then finding it again for preorder. For those interested this is what I wrote:

"Hello,

I ordered this game on Sunday morning and received an email stating that my order has been cancelled due it's release being cancelled.

When I was browsing your website this afternoon I have spotted the exact same game on your website taking preorders again. Here is a link to the page: *Deleted*

How come my order has been cancelled?

This is the first time I have used *Deleted* for purchasing my games and dvd's and if this is the usual practice of how you go about conducting business then I will carry on shopping elsewhere.

I still can't understand why my order has been cancelled and maybe you can enlighten me as to why?

Thankyou for your time,

Usel."

So looks like I can just reorder and send them another email with the order number on it.

Good luck to the rest of you!
