Well I've just had the pleasure of uploading a few 212*'s and gain two 1495 and one 1498 in return :) looks like we could be in for a production boost people :D

But the 1498 uses well in excess of 200mb of ram so all you duel threaders, especially the P4 HT ones with less that 1Gb beware. And any tri/quad thread xeons with less that 2Gb for that matter. It's also nearly a 10Mb download

Thought you all should know

It's worth 805points but it's going home with me to crunch - only had one of these so far (on an unknow borg) so no benchmarks yet.

I'll do a step or two on my workstation and report back.

I've just checked
every system I'm running has a 2124 apart from one
and thats got a 2125.

I'd love more of the 1495/1499s as they give me 980/990 PPD each! :D
think I've had about 4 of those total now.

So you're saying I should kill a thread on my P43.0E with 521mB memory? Is this two will be counterproductive for FAH, or because they would slow usage down for me. Reason I want to know is because if it's the latter I'll just make a note to remember to stop FAH when doing anything memory intensive.

null :)

I wouldn't get your hopes up too much about getting many of these. I had a couple then back to the 212*s :(

edit - though I just this second got given a 1495 after turning in a 2125 :D

The last 1495 I got benchmarked at over 1200 PPD, on my E6600 @2900 Ghz :D (Yep I know it's a pants overclock, but I can't be bothered to push it, it's plenty fast enough for me).

Latter.

If your lucky enought to be running two 149* WU (or even one 1498 with only 512mb) on a machine you actually want to use, stop the service when doing anything ram intensive.

Two 1495/6 will be fine (taking 100mb between them) it's just the 98's.
Two 1498's and windows (600mb) = swap files = proformance drop. And that's without user requirments!

1Gb and over, not a problem.

i'm crunching a 1498 on a 2.8ghz xeon, its take an age to crunch. nigh on 6 days now :( so the 805 points doesn't really compensate when it comes to PPD.

looks like its got a day left to go.

By coincidence I have two of these running at the moment...

Thats both cores of the cpu in my sig
