Hi Guys,

I purchased the Siberia V3 from OCUK and the mic was just so awful compared to the one Im currently using that I've had to send it back. Shame because they were comfy beyond belief and sounded great.

I'm currently using Plantronics Gamecom 380. Comfort is mediocre, sound is mediocre but mic is great.

Can you guys suggest anything else?

roughly £50 budget

I wasn't too enthused by the mic on the Cloud when seeing video reviews, sound from keyboard was pretty clearly coming through.

Hopefully not as clearly as the Siberia V3, I'm running off of my Ranger VII audio ports so we'll see what happens. :(

Fingers crossed

I've got the Hyper X cloud now.... The mic is crystal clear for skyping and such, no background noise. comfy and sounds great!

Really didn't expect them to be as good as they are, couldn't be happier.

A bit tight around the head but that will end after I wear them down a little :D

Shogun Bros Ensense seems good value @ £50 here on OCUK, not seen them cheaper anywhere else... https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-001-SG&tool=3

The 'Ensense' thudding bass may be a bit of a gimmick, as are the bright LEDs and graphics (at least you can turn off the lighting).

My main concern, having recently got these, is the lack of Windows 10 drivers so close to RTM...

Pair of Senheissers (sp?) and a mod mic.

I fell into the trap of "gaming headsets" - they are okay for the price but you can't beat decent sound quality of proper sounding headphones.

looking for one myself aswell, those look pretty good Pleiades, gonna throw a pair in the basket (Y)

Let me know what you think... I've had Creative Labs Fatality (entry level, not as bad as I thought it'd be) and more recently Sharkoon X-Tatic 5.1 (Ok, not brilliant). These Shogun Bros. have a lot more oomph than either, not sure about 3D positioning yet as am running Win 10 IP and there are no specific drivers AFAIK...

Not a huge brand so support may be an issue....

OTOH Have heard bad things about Razer headsets build quality-wise, even on the really expensive Tiamat models...
