Headset bass

hi there, i just bought a Advent headset for £25 (a lot for a headset for me) and it seems to be a lot more bass to my other headset. I dont wanna just put these ones in the back of the cuboard and use the cheap headset so does anyone know a program i can download to reduce the bass and to change around the headset "settings".

soundcard drivers? use the equaliser in the drivers?

im using onboard sound on my Asus A8N-Sli board..anyone know how to acces this on these boards?

Double click sound icon in your taskbar, Options, then select advanced. Should have bass/treble sliders.

yep and there not higlighted and i dunno how to make them be high lighted lol
