Headset for Xbox 360 advice

I currently have my Xbox 360 hooked up to my pc monitor and speakers for gaming. I am after a basic headset that will allow me to play games with the sounds through the headset and not my speakers. I don't play on xbox live so chat is not a problem. Any recommendations?

Price? I have Turtle Beach X12s and they can be used on 360 or PC, cost me £30, best cheap headset I've owned and will probably buy another pair if these ever break.

They are comfy for long periods and go over your ears for noise cancellation. Also bass and volume control on an attached amp I think it is

I've got a set of x12s too and for £30, I can't imagind there being anything better out there. They can be used for bot pc and 360 gaming (not sure about ps3) and have very decent sound quality for the money. I hear sounds in black ops 2 that I never knew existed until using a half decent headset.
 
yeah ive been using the X12s since xmas day (missus got them me as a gift) and i cant praise them enough
