Headset issue

Hi all

My missus plays PUBG with a bunch of friends daily and they were complaining about feedback/static coming from her mic, we went out midweek and bought a brand new headset and not exactly a cheap one, they are still complaining about the feedback/static coming through

What can be causing this?

Does she use motherboard's integrated soundcard?
Those are known for having possibility of all kinds of interference issues.

And what's the precise problem?
Some static background noise/interference, or also listened sound leaking to mic recording?

Yeah plugged into the motherboard sound input output sockets...

It's hard to explain, kind of like someone rustling wrappers into the mic kind of noise

Is that continuous?
If not is there anything which has correlation with it, like moving the mouse or anything such.
Including also cable rubbing on clothes etc because of moving head.

It's not continuous noise only every now and then, apparently last night it picked it up on her mic even though she had it muted...

Muting from switch in headset won't protect against interference in PC's end of wire.

So do you reckon running off a sound card would be a better option over the motherboard input/output
