headset *JUST* for speech(input&Output)

hi there, I'd like a headset which would allow me to have game volume coming out of my 5.1 speakers, yet have skype for example (or another voice chat program) playing through the headset with an attached microphone.

Is this possible? I want a headset with just a small earpiece; quite similar to the old wired xboxlive headsets

hmm, while i don't have a dedicated sound card, i believe my motherboard has some sort of audio package on it, and just been into my Realtek audio manager and got the option
