Headset + Mic + Gaming

My bro needs a new headset and we've come up with a short list of:

SpeedLink Medusa SL-8793 5.1 ProGamer Edition £43.46
Steelsound 5H Gaming Headset £46.94
Icemat Siberia Audio Headset - White £35.19

Any pros and cons owners of these headsets know of would be helpful.

in what way do they suck? if you are going to post an opinion at least back it up...

They are for gaming and that is what they will be used for? SO surely gaming headsets would be a good buy? Why spent loads on music headphones when all they are going to be used for is to hear footsteps and gun fire?

We ordered the creative ep-630 in ear earphones in the end. Only cost £14. They appear to be quite bassey and not quite as good as the in ear earphones that i have (Sony MDR-EX71SLB Fontopia Headphones) but they are £10 cheaper.
