I bought the TT Esports Gamers Headset Shock - White from OCUK and found that the mic was severely insensitive, for i would have to push the mic near enough into my mouth and speak loudly for it to pick up a decent volume of sound.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Connect it directly into the pink jack in the back of the mobo. Then go into your realtek control panel, found in the windows control panel.

Tweak around with the settings. Keep testing it to see how it works, by using the record function in Windows.

I've fixed numerous of these issues by doing this. It's always some setting causing it.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, and yeah i have tried that but although it makes it slightly more acceptable it adds a considerable amount of interference and static, which i really would prefer not to have.

uhmm, try something like Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices/voice/Test Hardware.
This should open Sound Hardware Test Wizard.. run it and it should work, if not then it's the mic itself... try looking around for drivers for the TT Esports Gamers Headset.
goodluck, peace.

no that didnt help either, grr this is so annoying. and i have checked for drivers, if it is actually just the mic i will be very annoyed, its been like this since i got it out the box, and i got it from OCUK.
