I have a set of sennheiser g4me headphones but cannot get the mic to work. mic is showing on my sound options but absolutely no sound being picked up by it. Its plugged in using the usb port instead of the mic and line out and the headphones themselves work fine. Any ideas?

Is there a mute button on the headphones mic?
Have you selected the headphone as default in the recording tab of manage audio devices?

i'm almost sure it is due to your sound settings. Have you made sure you selected the correct default inputs? if yes try some this below
