Hi,

I have a Soundblaster G6 connected to my gaming pc, I also have my work laptop at home. What I am wanting is a single headset to connect to my G6 when using the desktop and if possible be wireless and able to connect to my laptop for Teams calls etc.

What would people recommend or is it a case of buy two separate headsets for their respective jobs?

regards,

Matt

I looked into this recently without wanting to spend too much money, I wanted to have 2 inputs for one set of headphones, my main PC and a secondary monitor I use for mini consoles or Switch, so I can have both audio sources playing at once through one set of headphones.

Turned out for me wired was the way to go, £5 adaptor and works great simultaneously, when I was looking a wireless options it seems most just switch the sources - they don't combine them like I wanted. You can get stuff that will combine wirelessly but it's expensive.

Honestly the wired version is great, works every time and is cheap. If you want to switch the sources and not combine there are still plenty of wireless options for that too.

Thanks for info, decided to just go wired and bought some dt770 pro and a modmic...might look at buying a cheapo wireless for the laptop later on but for now I'll just swap the g6 over.

No worries, that modmic looks like a cool piece of kit I hadn't heard of before, really nice solution for those with non mic headphones.

I would have liked to have gone wireless too but was looking at about £200 for a headset that could blend 2 sources wirelessly, surprisingly not many wireless headsets can do what I thought would be a simple task, most only offer switching from one to another.

Go wired. I have a usb hub which I have my wireless keyboard, mouse, a flash drive and other bits and bobs connected. I unplug the hub and plug it in to the work laptop / my pc as I need. I also had Bluetooth headphone but just couldn’t get it to switch reliably. Ended up adding wired headphones to the hub.
