Can someone please help me. I have just bought a 27" imac and want to use the same headphones i used on my pc.

They are creative fatality ones problem being they have one pink and one green jack but the imac only has a speaker port so the mic does not work.

Is there anything i can use that is cheaper than buying a new usb headset.

Can you not use the Microphone built into the iMac?

Otherwise only other option I can see is getting a USB sound card that is compatible and plugging into that.

Didn't think about the inbuilt mic. Wanting to use it on ts so not sure if it will work. Will try it

I use the inbuilt mic on my macbook pro is TS3 with no problems. Just plug in my headphones normally to play and away I go.

I thought the iMacs had audio in and audio out? Can't you plug your mic into the other audio port and use it that way?
