I have been looking for a new headset but man, there is far to much choice and all have good and bad reviews across the board, I am currently using Roccat Kave which I have had for 4+ years now.

My budget is around £80-150

I have been looking at Logitech G Pro X or Cooler Master MH752

But also been looking at Sennheiser GAME ZERO or Corsair Virtuoso

Mainly be used for gaming, but also Music when I am working needs to have a mic for comm's.

A few of us went down a more headphone with modmic or boompro into an amp/dac.
I also had the Roccat Kave but switched to AKG K702 with V-moda boompro and a Creative Soundblaster G6 Amp/Dac.

For on the go on my laptop or PS4, I managed to source Philips SHP9500 (£35) with a cheap amazon boompro style mic (£11) and a Creative Soundblaster G1 (£9 second hand) which I find destroys the Roccat Kave.

Just food for thought.

I’ve just got a Sennheiser Game Zero open back. It got very good reviews against other headsets in the same price range.

I was considering that, but trying to get all of that delivered currently is problematic and think i want a plug and go.

This is currently my #1 pick so far, with maybe dolby atmos software installed.

Yes, good point and totally understandable. Sometimes it is a faff but the customisation of sound is handy. I looked at the game zero also. I heard good things about it.

I’ve had the Game one, hyper x cloud, G935 and Pro x. Awesome mic on the Game one, but I found its open design not to my taste when it comes to positional audio and unless you are in a very quiet location sound leaks in a lot. I found the logitechs were not so good with the usb sound dac attached and dts headphone 2.0 For me was OK ish. Where the Logitechs excel for me is when they're connected via the standard jack. The realtek audio on my mobo coupled with (what I finally settled for) the Pro X, worked best for my games. PUBG mostly at the time now warzone.

Had the Sennheiser Game Zero for nearly 5 years now, blinding headset. I have had to replace the earpads recently, but not bad going for 5 years of near daily use.

Only 'issue' with them is they are definitely not bass heavy by any means, which isn't really an issue! So if you like bass you may need to EQ them slightly. When I first got them coming from a Steelseries Siberia V2 I thought they sounded quite tinny, but after getting used to it and tweaking the EQ it's crystal clear.
