I'm just trying to decide on what iPod Headunit combination to go for. I keep finding reviews with "it's really slow" and such forth comments.

I'd like a system that wasn't too slow and was useable, also where do you have to wire it up so that the iPod charges will playing? To the battery? Just to the headunit?

£150 or less :)

Cheers,

I've heard that the Pioneer and Alpine one's through buses are quite slow? I spotted an Alpine CDE-9850Ri for £154, is that any good?

No doubt about it, that would be quicker definately :) (That's a great price, where's that from?)

The problem I've found is, as I have a lot of music (most ipod owners do!) search through artists is very long winded as I have hundreds of artists. But that's easily fixed by making playlists :) So I suppose it is a bit "slow". Not the HU, just the navigation.

I've never used these new full speed ones before. Whats the difference? Hows the nav quicker? might go have a play of one on the weekend.

I'm not sure if there a competitor? They sell digital cameras so I presume they'll be a competitor. However I'm sure you'd find it with a bit of searching...

I could save myself £60 and go with the Pioneer 4800MP @ £99.99 @ CAD. It has a audio line at the back so basically would just have a male-to-male 3.5" lead into it and in theory that would play straight through?

Anyone own this headunit and can confirm this will work or anyone who knows of this setup can comment upon it?

Thanks in advance,
