I'm starting to get annoyed with my Alpine IDA-X305 as the bluetooth performance (of lack of) via the KCE-400BT addon is just awful. It drops connection to both my iPhone or Android phone randomly and is generally rubbish.

So, I'm looking to replace it but I cannot for the life of me find a unit that has the functionality I want.

Single DIN
Colour screen with album art from iPod
Bluetooth built in with A2DP
Time correction for pre-outs
Rear USB for iPod
Aux input
Configurable HPF and LPF

There doesn't seem to be a device from Alpine, Kenwood, Clarion or Pioneer that meets these requirements.
Unfortunately, I can't use a double-DIN or device with a fold out screen due to the placement of the headunit in the S2000.

I feel your pain. It would seem your choices would be something along the lines of forego the colour screen with a Pioneer DEH-P80RS or forego rear USB with a Pioneer MVH-8300BT. Why they thought people wouldn't want rear USB on something like that is beyond me.

Edit: This http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/17352.html seems to have everything you require bar album art. You do need one of their Imprint units for DSP stuff though.

I was looking at that one. I have the Imprint module for my X305 so could just transfer it across.

The thing is, I'm not sure I want to buy Alpine ever again. They just don't seem to be interested in supporting their products, and so I'm losing interest in giving them my money.
Eg. No FW update for 400BT since 2009 to support new phones and yet it's still on sale. Imprint software still requires Windows XP SP3 and nothing later will work, again, still on sale but no updates for 4 years.

I'll see if I can get a demo of that Pioneer unit down at my local place.
