Headunit with SD Card - Gapless Playback?

Hi Folks!

So, the Sony headunit in my ST needs replacing due to the fact that it won't play CD's properly. Starts ok, then starts to skip the hotter the unit gets. Seems a very common problem!

So, I am planning on replacing the unit with perhaps a Pioneer 3200-BT. So, the headunit has a SD card slot and is iPod compatible. However, what really bugs me about most MP3 players is that they don't do gapless playback. I know that the latest iPods do, but I don't want an iPod in the car when I can just whack a SD card in the front of the unit.

So, does anyone know if this particular (or recommend another) headunit does gapless playback from SD card? I don't mind changing the audio format if needed, providing it can be done.

Thanks in advance for any idead you may have.

Ta.

I don't have said Pioneer but I've had a couple with USB ports on the front (current one has one) and it's as close to gapless as you're gonna get with mp3's. I.e. a split second gap between tracks.

I'd assume the SD card versions would be the same. If no one on here knows then www.talkaudio.co.uk forums - someone may know on there :)
