Apologies for posting this here, I would do it in the actual WoW forums but its full of kids.

Can anyone tell me whats the difference between an item like this:

Mittens of Mending - "Increases Healing done by spells and effect by 55"

And something like this:

Hammer of Healing - "+29-31 Healing Spells"

So Ignoring the spell co-efficients (that consfuse me) by taking "Renew" for a priest (100% co-efficient) how would the above items compare?

I'm guessing that the top item would be, for a 100point base heal, 155 in total.

For the bottom item, the same 100point heal would be 129-131

However that doesn't make sense to me - there must be more to it than that for it be a "different" stat otherwise they'd both be written the same??

Anyone help me out here?

Never seen that stat before.

I'm guessing, but I'd assume a '+22-30 healing spells' item would work the same as a 'increases healing by up to 30' item. Just take the top value for comparison to other items.

On Renew, where you get 100% of your +healing, I would assume they are the same.

You don't find this stat on decent high-level gear, it's just one of those weird inconsistent stats that Blizzard have put on green stuff or maybe BoE blues.
