Hello everyone.. been a while since i was last here!

Ok, I would love some input on my next upgrade please.

I currently have my 'gaming' PC, which was lasted updated with a new GPU in Feb 2011.

Phenom II quad core 3.2Ghz
Ripjaw 8GB
Windows 10
god knows what MB..
24" 3D monitor with 3D set up
Geforce evega 570 2GB

I stopped all gaming and as such upgrades after that due to various reason, though gaming and PC are a hobby I want to pick up again.

Basically to play any new games as they emerge I will most likely have to upgrade the whole lot! I dont even make the rec. minimum for skylines.

Currently playing Elder Scrolls Online and Cities:Skylines on 1080p.. though do often hook it up to the 42". Future games will be similar MMO's and RPGs.

My options are:

Gaming Laptop
new tower + components - micro case for easy moving between rooms
upgrade GPU.. then the rest later on

Now.... I do not like being chained to the one room so I was considering a gaming laptop that also serves as a PC replacement, which I can then hook up to any TV in the house, play on the montior or sit and 'play' anywhere.

THough I hear a lot of things about them that make me think twice. There is ofc the 'upgrade' factor. Are they upgradable? GPU etc?

Plus I here they are not good at keeping cool, but surely if they were that bad they wouldnt be made (let alone bought)??

I only use one monitor so dual-monitor isnt a factor an as for games I am a bit of a graphics snob and like to be around high settings min :p

Grpahics wise to upgrade my existing PC I was going to look at something around a Geforce 960 or 970, though the near £100 difference is a lot.

Though being a laptop.. am I not best buy THE most I can afford therefore not having to upgrade or do anything with it for longer?
Can anyone please help me with these issues? I am not factoring price as yet, simply trying to decide if a gaming laptop should be scrubbed from my list.

Thank you so much.
