Heart Internet VPS - anyone use this company?

Heart internet are doing crazy good prices on VPS systems: http://www.heartinternet.co.uk/vps/

Is anyone here a heart internet customer? Any reviews good or bad?

Support tickets are answered quite quickly and they are alway keen to help out, a darn sight better than some of the other companies I have been with

i used to have a reseller account with heart internet. it was ok but not great. the only downside really was that as soon as there was any heavy usage on the site they would disable the website without even contacting you. And nothing would be done until you happen to notice the site is down.

However i think their domain registry is brilliant. love the control panel. i have all my domains with HI.

I have read a few bad reviews regarding there reseller stuff. I will be avoiding all that gumf, but I will have a reseller account as it give you 25% off.

That means for £135/month I can get a VPS with 16GB ram, 12 CPU cores and 200gb hdd. Not bad!

Personally i'd be wary of any host offering 'unlimited' data. I've had my fair share of issues with 'unlimited' hosts and know a fair few that have too especially with Heart and it's as DJDaz says, as soon as your site gets a whiff of traffic then they tend to pull the plug without warning.

It really depends on the contention - the biggest of which on a virtual server is i/o. If they're using SATA disks you might find performance on anything database related quite poor.

I just did a hd test, average was 270mb / sec on the VPS and average was 130 MB/sec on my dedicated server with 15k sas disks in it! Not sure why it's faster but I assume a much better raid 10 sas.

Edit: Yep, 8 x 10k SAS

I have tried them in the past for few of my customers , but was not too impressed with the support, presently very happy to use http://www.webhost.uk.net got a VPS and 2 reseller accounts on there UK and US servers.
