Hi was wondering if someone can help?
Having heat issues with CPU heatsink, checked temps & running
at 67c.
When i took the heatsink off i noticed that all the white stuff has
gone & was wondering what it was called so i can call in my local
store to pick some up

Thx Shotgun

Just wondering if we can help to optimize your cooling, but apart from adding another intake/exhaust fan, you can't really do much with that setup except for changing the paste.

Ok i,ve just changed the paste & went into the HW moniter in the BIOS & within 3 minutes the temp jumped from 28c to 45c, i,m running vista 64-bit & after the post screen when it says microsoft corporation at the bottom with green light going across the screen, that go's off & then a black screen it wont boot up to the OS....

Any ideas?
Thx Shotgun

To me it does not sound like a temperature issue at all, as in BIOS the temps are always a bit on the high side.

Did it work before the repasting, or did you have the same problem? If you did, i'd start with running memtest, and then reinstall windows.
