Hey guys, I have a socket A Athlon Xp 2800+, not overclocked, GeForce 6800Ultra, also not over clocked. 2 Seagate HDs, one 60GB for O/s and 300GB for data and 1.25GB RAM soon to be 2GB.

Zalman Flower heatsink on the gfx card and stanard heatsink/fan on the CPU. CPU temp idles around 33degrees C and gfx card at 51C.

The problem i have is the case and HD temps. Very hot indeed. HDs get very hot, they can be touched but still feel to warm. Side panels on the case are off to help get air round it but when the covers are on, it just gets worse.

Am hoping to slove this problem with a new case and fans + heatsinks along with a new PSU to power fans and aloow me to overclock the CPU and GPU.

Case:
Thermaltake VC2000BNS Mambo SuperMidi Tower

Fan:
Sharkoon Silent Eagle 1000 Fan 80mm

Heatsink:
Thermaltake Big Typhoon 4 in 1 Heatpipe

PSU:
Ultra X-Connect 500W ATX2.0 Cable Detachable PSU

Now am after some input, will this help my problem. The new case has been getting good reviews for its price.

Any advie or input would be great. If you know of a better product then please do suggest it. My budget is flexable but not unlimited.

Thanks
Gibbs

EDIT: wrong section i think, please move if needed.

Its a toss up between the Ultra and a Tagan TG480-U01 480W.

The case comes with a 120mm fan on the rear, the Sharkoon Silent Eagle 1000 Fan 80mm is going on the front of the case to draw cool air in in front of the HDs. Plus i may get another Sharkoon Silent Eagle for the side grill to bring on more cool air. Simply because with the front intake cooling the drives, the heat from them will be drawn to the back of the case and the GPC/CPU will be getting hit with warm air instead of the cool air needed.

forgot to mention that CPU temp sometimes rises to 50+ degrees, thats why the new fan has been ordered.
